The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain

Seven Novels by Jane Austen

Beauty and the Beast & Other Classic Fairy Tales

A Treasury of Irish Fairy and Folk Tales

Charlotte’s Web and Other Illustrated Classics

Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke

Publisher Synopsis

Hannah Swensen already has her hands full, between dodging her mother’s attempts to marry her off, and running Lake Eden, Minnesota’s most popular bakery, The Cookie Jar. But when the Cozy Cow Dairy’s beloved deliveryman is found murdered behind Hannah’s bakery with her famous Chocolate Chip Crunchies scattered around him, Hannah sets out to track down a killer. The more Hannah snoops, the more suspects turn up. This is one murder that’s starting to leave a very bad taste in Hannah’s mouth, and if she doesn’t watch her back, her sweet life may get burned to a crisp.

Teal Review

I love the Hannah Swensen series of books because they make me want to be a baking free lance detective! These books (there are a lot of them) are something that I love to read when I need a quick, delicious, feel good story about a super awesome baker that just happens to be a fantastic hobby detective! And her super adorable cat Moishe. I would recommend these books to anyone and everyone. I am not a big fan of mystery books but I love this series. A plus throughout these books is that there are real recipes in between some of the chapters that are actually used and baked throughout the book by the main character, Hannah!

Read these and you will want to bake enough goodies for an entire village!

Happy Reading!
